Snapshots

What We Collect

When you use Snapshots, we collect minimal information necessary to operate the service:

Google account information — your name and email address, used only for authentication. We do not store your password or access your other Google data.
IP address — used once at upload time to determine your approximate country and city via a geolocation lookup. The IP address itself is not stored.
Submitted photos — images you choose to share. These are stored in Vercel Blob storage and publicly accessible while in the carousel queue.
Votes — a record of which images you have thumbs-up’d, keyed to your user ID, to prevent duplicate votes.

How Long We Keep It

Photos are retained only while they occupy a slot in the carousel queue. Each prompt supports a maximum of 15 photos. When a photo is pushed out of the queue by newer submissions, it is permanently and automatically deleted from our storage — no manual action required.

Vote records are deleted together with the associated image. Session data expires when you sign out or your browser session ends.

What We Do Not Collect

No tracking pixels or third-party analytics scripts
No advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking
No personally identifiable information embedded in images — our content guidelines prohibit it, and submissions are screened accordingly
No device fingerprints or location beyond country/city

Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third parties to operate the service:

Google — OAuth authentication and Vision API for automated content moderation
Vercel — serverless hosting, Blob storage for images, and KV storage for queue/vote data
ipapi.co — IP-to-location lookup. Only your IP is sent; we do not share any other data.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of any photo you have submitted by contacting us. Because photos are automatically deleted from the queue on a rolling basis, most photos will be gone within days to weeks regardless.
